The case study Camp Happy Valley describes a day camp for children. The programmer is spending thoughts on how to improve the camp's morale and enhance its organization. In order to make the next season successful, the programmer has to examine several elements of Camp Happy Valley's organization in order to identify the areas for change (e.g. staff training, selection, remuneration). The programmer has to judge how to use his leadership approach to motivate the staff to do the changes needed.

Camp Happy Valley Case Answers
Executive Summary – Camp Happy Valley
Camp Happy Valley is a camping and recreational center that offers team-building services and experience for its members. This has been a source of joy for campers, parents, and staff.
However, over the years, it has been observed that customer complaints have been on the rise, employee turnover has increased and the general morale of the camp has gone down.
Other subordinate problems highlighted in the case that affect Camp Happy Valley include; demotivated employees, reduced customer morale, ineffective selection, and training system and processes.
In view of these problems, there are several alternatives that would better improve the situation at Camp Happy Valley.
The first alternative would be to define an organizational structure and system, to enhance the responsibility of roles and declare authority at various levels.
Second, Camp Happy Valley should consider introducing a better employee reward system to compensate for their hard work and performance.
And third, in order to improve customer morale, the camp should refocus on their customer service and ensure it gears towards customer satisfaction.
Given the above challenges and the available viable alternatives, I would recommend that Camp Happy Valley start by defining its organizational structure and system. An effective organizational structure acts as a roadmap towards achieving the camp’s vision and mission.
Problem Statement
The camping industry has been doing well since the 1960s, and most especially, Camp Happy Valley has seen tremendous growth.
However, in recent years, there has been an increase in the number of complaints from its camper, staff, and parents. The complaints express reduced customer satisfaction with the camp services.
Also, there has been an increased employee turnover, which indicates that employee motivation in the camp has gone down as well.
Generally, from these observations, it is obvious that the morale at the camp has reduced. Therefore, what can Cameron do to improve camp morale?
Sub-Problems
The main problem at Camp Happy Valley has reduced morale among various stakeholders, that is, the campers, parents, and employees. However, these are problems that have been attributed to or are as a result of some sub-problems.
1. Reduced Customer morale
One, the reduced morale among the parents and the children campers is as a result of poor safety measures. At Camp Happy Valley, children make up a high number of campers at every given time during the summer sessions. In fact, children have been averaged at an approximate number of 800,000 every single summer.
At the infirmary, the number of campers had increased from the previous periods. That is, the number of children that were admitted at the infirmary had gone up meaning that children during this period got more injured than in previous cases. Such issues contributed to the reduced morale of the children who attended the camping sessions.
Conversely, the children would, in turn, make their feelings known to their parents, who, out of concern, communicated back to the management with complaints. Cameron has as a result noted that the complaints from the parents have increased from previous periods.
2. Demotivated Employees
The greater majority of the Camp Happy Valley employee has indicated…
