The industry is in its infancy, and the decision to acquire Gemini was the answer to help Excel adopt the changes in the business strategies with less consideration for surviving the organization.
When the choice of adopting an outsourcing strategy or retaining manufacturing in-house was proposed, both Regis and Ogilvie analyzed their respective positions and, thus, focused on defending their strategy rather than figuring out the best ways to work in collaboration for the benefit of the company (Mayo and Michael., 2015).
